Hm. I was going to go to the gym this morning, but having woken up with a pounding headache, a slightly sore throat and slightly aching limbs, I'm going to take it easy for the day. The trouble is that none of these things is bad enough to make me actually feel that I can't go to work. So I've taken two paracetemol, stopped long enough to eat a decent breakfast, and am now contemplating this leaving the house thing. It should be nice and cool outside - I hope it is, because I'm a little on the warm side of comfortable.

The stew was a success, I'm glad to say, and there's enough of the stuff left to feed us for another couple of days by the looks of things. I've decided I'm taking some in for lunch - there's a full kitchen in work, so heating it isn't a problem - and now just have to find a suitable container. Despite all this, I'm in a good enough mood - Connie Willis To Say Nothing of the Dog may have something to do with this.

Hey! That's next on my to-read shelf! (I have to finish Girl in Landscape...)

To Say Nothing of the Dog is a brilliant, brilliant book. SO far today, it's caused me to nearly miss a bus stop, nearly miss a train stop, and ignore a co-worker who was calling my name for at least five minutes during lunch.
