Gaelcon?

Nights are drawing in, there are pumpkins and masks in the shops, the mornings are misty, that means it's that time of year again: Gaelcon!

Who's going? And are you planning to be anti-social and play scheduled games, or wander round and play pickup stuff in a sociable manner? Pub quizzing, or available for some food thing one or more evenings? Planning to buy vast quantities of stuff, or is it just going to happen anyway?

I'll be there. Like most years I had notions about spending the whole weekend there but I've shaken them. I'll be along early enough on saturday to buy whatever catches my eye. After that I'll likely wander around to meet the folks I don't see from one end of the year to the other, then sit down with a pint and read through my purchases. I'll head home before the pub quiz because I can't handle the kind of crowds and noise it causes. I doubt I'll be there any other day and I plan on a really long lie-in on sunday.

Will be there, from f****** 8.30am on Saturday, setting up trade stalls, till whatever time they throw us out I help throw people out on Monday evening before heading in to the post-con dinner and eventual collapse.

Might manage to play in one slot. Will be doing my best not to buy anything. Though I don't see that happening, 'cos I've got wind of one or two very nice things coming up in the Charity Auction. Shiny.

I'm doing the whole writing thing (or desperately attempting to finish the writing thing) - so I'll be around definately for Saturday morning, and Sunday afternoon (I think - I should find out when my games are running).
Apart from that, I'll get paid on the Thursday before gaelcon, so I may induldge myself in one or two items from any bargin bins...where you can find some deadly stuff! (Most likely trying to find more bits and bobs to finish my Hunter collection)
Pubbage? Yes. Pubquiz? No, been to one, been to them all. I may stick around for a bit of the Charity Auction, but most of them time there is nothing there that I'm overly enthusiastic about.
I'll try to be sociable - but after players ruin the foundations of my beautiful, beautiful games, I'll most likely be grumpy and upset, cursing every gamers existance. (I mean, if I get upset when You, Mac & Dee ignore plot hooks to go to England - think how I'll feel when some smart arsed player hatches a plan to kill the big bad in one round and save the world!?!) :-D

Ah, that wasn't upset. Wait a few more games, when we start coming up with our own ideas on what we want to do next, in the middle of otherwise ordinary sessions.

There was at least one point where it occurred to Will that he could probably get some training in New Orleans, so be glad that didn't come up. :P

I'll be there (in a shock move), but I'll mainly be in my counting house desperately trying to figure out if we'll have to sell any of the staff into slavery or not. :)
