gothwalk: (weather)

It was a glorious 0.2°C when I was leaving the house this morning, and there was a fine frost on the way in. Well below the forecast temperature of 2°C, which is unusual. A squirrel in Herbert Park looked utterly disgusted with it. And Friday's Metcheck forecast now has snow on all GFS member readings - it's as certain as a forecast can be, basically.

([livejournal.com profile] olethros - GFS is "Global Forecast System")

Woot! Snow! In November!

I'm torn... On the one hand, SNOW! On the other hand, cycling to work at 0500 on Saturday morning.

On the first hand, though, SNOW!

*g* 5:30 for me but what the hey! At least at that time it might still be snow and not slush ...

I've only been cycling in Dublin for about 2 weeks, I still get nervous about it raining.

I haven't cycled in snow in a age and a half! cool :)

Some fun with snow: diffusion-limited aggregation, or how fractal geometry makes a snowflake identical on all 6 sides.

If you like the frost and the cold, I can send you the snow and the -10 C we have had here in Finland. If the squirrel was discusted, well, he has a lot to learn from the discust I feel. I know I will not see bare ground for months. Besides, snow right now would be a disaster for our Cthulhu-LARP next weekend. Cthulhu does not like snow, and neither do I. (/whining)
