Is there anyone out there who's not sick? LJ's like a doctor's waiting room today - everyone's sick, ill, unwell, off work, med certed, sore or just run down. This kinda synchronicity is bizarre.
Though I was quite warped over the weekend as I ran out of inhaler for the Saturday evening dose and the chemist where I put the prescription so I don't lose it was shut so I couldn't get a new one until this morning. Kinda woosy and icky and having to concentrate to breathe which makes sleeping hard because you don't quite trust yourself to keep breathing while you're asleep. The doctor will kill me(heh) as I'm never to miss a dose:(
I think chemists are technically permitted to give you an emergency inhaler, so you could go to any chemist if you're stuck again. Maybe it's only for Ventolin though, rather than the preventative one. Certainly I know you can get a ventolin without a script if you need one.
Naw - It applies to Becotide too because I've done it when I realised that my prescription had run out. I'm really bad at keeping track, which is another reason why I keep it in the chemist as they tend to remind me how many are left:) The amateur psychologist who lives in my head reckons the inefficiency is a form of denial.
The main problem was more it was a long way to somewhere that was open:(
*sneezes* I'm sick. No, not just sick and twisted, but actually ill. Had Friday off work, quite seriously considering skiving home early today too *snuffles* *coughs*
I was downing citrus drops all week long so I could make it to Maine this past weekend. As I made it to Maine and accomplished my goals... well, part of me says screw it, let's get sick and get it over with (both my parents have come down with nasty throat things). But another part of me says "no, wait, you've got to sing this coming weekend!"
Still, that's not the same as wanting to take care of myself and be good to the me. And that never bodes well for staying in good health. :)
And frankly, I'm suffering from a little hurt and disappointment right now, but these things happen.
