For my money, I always liked his response to the furor surrounding Fell, which he arranged to sell for a lot less than your average comic.

"A lot of people -- including some respected professionals -- told me that lowering the price of a comic was suicide. We're probably going to top out at around 25,000. So, basically, up your arses."

(for context, the top X men shite - the best selling in the world, sell about 200,000 in a month. 25,000 for an indie comic, even one by Ellis is something amazing)
