After much thought, I’ve decided to save some of the excellent suggestions I got for other projects, and go with something nice and simple: blacksatchel.com. It’s clear, easily told to people, and still retains some of the flavour I want. Also, my first ever thing to keep books in was a black satchel, so it all works well.

Hmmm - Interesting. Nice covert feel. It puts me in mind of a (sadly now deceased) friend of mine who worked for a building society. Part of their training included the use of the code phrase "black bags". In a hold-up or hostage situation, if the phone rang and they were forced by the criminals to answer it and pretend things were normal, they were suppposed to work that phrase into the conversation (assuming it was an inter-branch call) "... yeah, and we need 20 more rolls of fax paper and a dozen black bags...." The person at the other end would then know that something was amiss and launch the appropriate procedures. Could be an interesting nuance :)
