Unless you're a veteran of the Tamson House mailing list - and for all I know, you may be - he is the other Mal. If you were subscribed to TH in the last six years or so, he's a legendary figure. Basically, when flame wars erupted, they looked impressive, maybe even epic, until Mal entered the fray, after which they were revealed to be small gouts of flame from, say, cheap cigarette lighters, compared to his Starship Troopers issue flamethrower.
Anyway, he just resurfaced on the list, and lightly toasted someone.
It makes me happy. He left very soon after I joined, I think, and I missed most of his really impressive flamings. I am sitting back and watching in happy anticipation. *grin*
