I’ve been threatening to build this new site for a while: How To Survive Winter.

With thanks to bluedevi for the initial idea, and kamaitachi for provoking me to finish it!

A whole page might be a bit much. Maybe a sentence or two on making a point of going out to get some sun to get the benefits of natural vitamin D production--like taking a walk at lunchtime? I know Himself has real trouble with this one come February or so.

Winter? What's that? I've not seen Winter for a few years now. Loads of Autumn mostly :p

Yeah, yeah. I'm tryin' to sell some advertising here, stop distracting the customers. :)

Thanks for that, it's very informative, though by most standards I'm used to a long, cold winter as it is. It's the different, wet kind of winter I'm worried about, since I'd imagine that what goes well with snow doesn't necessarily enjoy downright water.

Yeah - I'm trying to imagine what extra information would be of use. If you can think of anything, now or during the winter, let me know and I'll add it.

Advising a Finn on how to handle winter does seem odd. :) The difference is that you're probably going to feel the cold more in Worcester than you would in Lahti - firstly because it's damper, and second because British buildings just don't have the same insulation.

And Gods help us all if it actually snows... :/

Excellent site. Love the winter feel of it all. The ads are a little off however. Is there a way to improve their relevance. (To me obviously :) ).

Did you do all the editorials yourself? If you did, more power to you. Some very good stuff in there. All very sensible. I think a Christmas/Holiday Season site akin to your nerd gift site would be a very appropriate addition in a few months too.

All me own work, guv. The relevance of the ads will improve a bit over time, but they can often be a bit hit and miss. If the site takes off well, I might be able to get hold of some more targetted material.

Btw, are you aware of dukestreet.org? Meant to mention it at the EVE Corp meet, and completely forgot about it; been writing up some of the EVE stuff there.

Was 'aware' of dukestreet.org having perused it in the past, but was not a regular reader. That has changed :)
