Firewood

Does anyone in the Dublin area know where firewood might be bought? Preferably dry logs, rather than wet or scrap timber. I thought a good few garages sold it, but either they're not selling it yet, or they've stopped altogether - I haven't seen it anywhere on the southside in the last two weeks.

Probably just not for sale yet due to the f'n annoying logic our building manager uses - "It's still autumn, dammit - no heating till 1st October!" - hence us all still wearing our jackets in the office this morning.

Oh, I'll be getting in a supply from Ballycadden, alright. But it'd be nice to know where I can get it closer to home.

Also, I want to take some pictures for the winter blog, and logs would look a lot better than scrap timber. :)

We've started getting adds in the door for logs.. I'll try to dig some up and pass the numbers on your way in case they, or they know someone who delivers out your way...

Our apprentice's father owns some sort of timber mill, I'll ask if he has a bag or two of smaller branches of softwood with the bark still on ? or are you looking for bigger stuff like axe splitable chunks ?

Pictureskew stuff with the bark on would be great, but I'll take anything that still looks like real tree. I don't currently own a suitable axe, but that could be solved easily.
