Narnian Fanfic

Not many people seem to realise, or remember, if they know, that I read a lot of fanfic. Fanfic gives an alternate point of view on an existing world, sometimes one that I know very well. I've written some, in my time; it was vile and has now, thankfully, been lost.

Here, though, is a set of Narnian fanfic, not yet complete, which makes me want to write in that world: bedlambard's Dust in the Air. It's an AU around the era of The Last Battle, and it's absolutely brilliant. It helps, of course, that I never liked The Last Battle, but I still think bedlambard's version is better.

Having just read the first chapter there, I have bookmarked it for later reading of the whole thing.

(I am also very fond of fanfic, and also never much liked "The Last Battle".)
