Visited the doc, and was told to go pick up a certain packet of chewy pills, drink lots of fluids and take it easy; it's a bug that's going round.

The bizarre thing is that all I have eaten all day is one square of white chocolate, about half an hour ago, and I'm just not hungry. My stomach has stopped rolling and twisting, and is just sitting quiet - but I suspect that if I eat anything, it'll be off again.

So don't eat then. If you have no appetite, there's a reason for that. Listen to your body. Boiled 7up is very gentle and settling on the tummy, though gross if allowed to cool. Vitally important to get lots and lots of liquids, as vomiting and diarrhoea totally dehydrate you. You can get stuff from chemist - Rapalyte I think it's called (there's also Dioralyte, but that tastes manky) - it's special rehydration stuff. Not too much orange juice though, as it's a diuretic and will make you pee more and thus lose more liquid and electrolytes.

You have my sympathies, and I'm very glad I live nowhere near you cos I really, really don't deal well with being sick :)

Boiled... 7up?

I'm glad I haven't eaten anything now...

Yeah, the boiled 7UP thing isn't as bad as it sounds... had it as a kid. Check with Steph, there's a mix that involves sugar, salt and water, not sure of the quantites but it's apparently fairly easy to make... it will rehydrate you.
