Last night's Samhain dinner was well-attended, and was Good. Food all worked, everyone fitted in, and there were still people here at about one this morning. And it didn't take too long to put the place back in order this morning, either.
The Yule ribbons are now up outside, and while I'm not planning to do any more decorating for the event until the 21st of November, it'll probably be lurking in the upper parts of my mind.

olethros' Xircom Realport card is providing me with network access from the laptop again. I can download my mail! And it's solid enough looking that the cat will no longer be able to yank it out.
My latest order from Greenwood arrived yesterday, including such goodies as Continuum (which I haven't even peered at yet) and Mechanical Dream, which looks cool and strange. It was originally written in French, and it does show a bit in the translation - and possibily in the weird nihilism of the world too. I'm trying to talk myself out of buying a copy of Victorian Age Vampire, but I'm not sure how successful I'll be.
