This morning, as I was leaving home and before the sun rose, I saw Venus glowing brightly in the east, directly over a massive thunderhead standing in Dublin Bay.
I'm searching for a post on my favorite sunrise, but not finding it. So I'll recount it here. I used to live on the east side of a dorm building on the ninth floor. My bed lay abutting the east wall, so I'd wake up with the sun burning my legs during the summer.
One particular morning,I woke up to see the moon still somewhat above the horizon, looking huge. The sun was rising, so the bottom was lit. The top, though, was still clearly visible though it was not lit. The sky around it was a strange blu color, and venus was above and to the left of the moon. It was the most fantastic sight, only beaten by witnessing the aurora borealis earlier this year.
