Someone in the office has just used the "My precious" line.
Contrary to some folks I've heard, I've no objections to it. But it doesn't amuse me, for the simple reason that for the joke is about sixteen years old for me. When I was nine, I went through a brief period of petting objects and muttering "Precious". So use away on it, folks, just don't expect me to laugh.
(Mind you, I just got the mental image of Eddie Izzard petting a makeup case... so perhaps there's hope for it after all.)
