Hi, I'm your new headache. Are you sitting comfortably? Then we'll begin. This is just above your left eye. Feel the stabbing pain? No, there's nothing on the outside, you can't rub me away. This is in your right temple. Look, I can make your eye twitch! Back to the bit above the left eye now. Isn't this fun? Quick stab over the right ear in case you get desensitised. Another stab over the left eye, leaving little lights flashing, a brief burst of nausea, and there, we're all done. Thirty seconds, that wasn't so bad now, was it?

Wtf was all that about? Less than half a minute of severe pain, some nausea, and poof! all better again. No warning, and no apparent reason.

Sounds like a drive-by migraine. It's hard to tell whether it was one, because the symptoms vary so wildly - I get an upset stomach for two days, then wildly flashing lights, and only then do I get any pain. Some people just get the pain, some just get the nausea.

It might be worthwhile taking an anti-inflammatory, depending on the effect they have on your stomach.
