Bleah. Feel manky still. But I have Lemsip and stuff with me, I have comfortable new boots because the ever-wonderful [livejournal.com profile] inannajones got them for me yesterday, and I have a well-defined list of stuff to do for the day, which always makes things easier.

And I'm pleased to report that the Epic Level Handbook kicks monumental amounts of ass. I can't wait to start statting the high-level characters in Davon - the 35th level ones are going to be cool, but the level 50 ones... aye caramaba! Every single page of it contains so many ideas it's scary - whole campaigns could be written around each and every monster, and the epic spells are nothing short of brilliant. And it's got the whole 3rd Edition feel of describing perfectly things which I've already got in the world. It's great.

Ah yes. As it becomes clear how much work there is, and I start to get back into work mode, I start to feel much better. How ironic.

Is there anyone out there who's not sick? LJ's like a doctor's waiting room today - everyone's sick, ill, unwell, off work, med certed, sore or just run down. This kinda synchronicity is bizarre.

Around the third mug of the day, you realise that Lemsip really does taste manky.

Quick question aimed at the Irish contingent before I head homeward: Anyone know where I could get hold of a champagne crate, soapbox, or similar sized rigid container? I want to do a Hallowe'en window display, and I've nothing suitable as a platform.

The plan for this evening is to get somewhat better from this damn ill feeling, play with the Epic Rules, and finish or at least make serious inroads into the Gaelcon D&D module.
