I twisted something in my back at about 06:30 this morning - sharp enough to wake me up. Now it feels like there's something knotted there, just under the left shoulderblade. It seems that stretching should get rid of it, but that doesn't seem to work - any stretch I've tried relieves it while I'm doing so, and then it just comes back. It's not sharp anymore, just annoying.

Sometimes, the world proves to be really tiny. [livejournal.com profile] olethros was giving away LJ codes on fibbers. [livejournal.com profile] dorianegray noted that she already had one, given to her by a friend. This friend turned out to be [livejournal.com profile] tanaise. I've known Dorian for, what, eight, ten years? - from various cons, and Celia for two or three, from Tamson House. I'd never have imagined there was any connection...

Hey, [livejournal.com profile] wyvernfriend, can you let your esteemed husband know that the book he's looking for is War of Honor?

Possibly I shouldn't have complained about the Japanese spam. This morning's selection of unsolicited mail includes an ugly yellow-text-on-green-background-in-html spam about horse porn.
I won the last MC game herein, and I have to admit it's the first one I've ever won. The summary I posted was the one on here, btw, not the one on fibbers. So - now that [livejournal.com profile] natural20 is among us, champion player that he is - how about another?

I'll host it, of course, and we can start off this time under the Standard Rules, with the Sellafield Export Extensions. I'll take a slightly risky start, coming in at:

Perivale

and opening bidding on an Uffington Token.

The HTML I'm currently working is so bad I could cry. If I ever get my hands on the moron who put it together, I shall carefully strangle him with a printout of all the useless extra stuff he put in here. There are repeated occurences of <font color="#ffffff" face="Arial" size="2">&nbsp;</font><font color="#ffffff" face="Arial" size="2">&nbsp;</font> - when what they wanted was two spaces. And it'd be almost OK if it was consistently Arial, or size 2, or white - but it's not. This guy thought carefully about what size, font and colour his spaces were to be, by the looks of things. And there are random bold tags scattered up and down the documents like ornaments on a Christmas Tree.

Razzle frazzle.
