The cooking went well. The vegetable korma was nothing short of excellent, even if I do say so myself, and will be cooked again - aubergines and mushrooms and everything. The risotto was its reliable self, and we even got to freeze some. The chicken saag didn't quite work, although it was certainly edible. It was rather bland, and I think it could have done with about three times as much spinach, if not more. Although the recipe did warn that it would be better on reheating, and this did appear to be true, even though it wasn't up to takeaway standards even by Sunday. I'll try it again, and make some adjustments.

[livejournal.com profile] inannajones roasted a chicken, and made a marble cake and cinnamon buns. All of them vanished with disturbing speed, and the cinnamon buns provoked sounds that really shouldn't be heard outside a bedroom, or at least not in public.

I did the baigan bartha last night, and it seemed good. Not as spicy as I would have liked, but not bad either. The chillis in particular seemed to just vanish into it, so I'll try that again too, with more oomph.

Anyone want recipes?

It's hard to find good Hallowe'en wallpapers, but I stumbled into these today, and they're rather nice. There are kittens cattens in some of them, too.

I also have my mega-tacky flashing plastic pumpkin on my desk here again, which provoked shouts of "Jack's back!" from various parts of the office.
