I just got to put up a Hallowe'en variant logo on Sports Interaction (top left, if you're looking). This pleases me immensely, although I'm hard pressed to say why exactly. I suppose some of it is that I like seasonal variation, and having something like the logo vary over time mirrors that in some weird corporate way.
Having got a few new books at the convention, I keep seeing more that I want. This one won't be out in print until March, though: Chaositech.
Techie Question: Anyone know if Adobe's Imageready can be persuaded to output XSL rather than HTML, by way of a plugin, or anything else? As is, it's producing HTML with unquoted attributes, a lack of end-tag slashes, and other awkward things that take ages to convert over to proper XSL. I'm on Version 3.0, which may well be out of date by now.
Several of the shops in Dun Laoghaire are now taking down the Hallowe'en window displays, and replacing them with Christmas ones (or in one case, a non-celebration-specific pile of toys). Do they think Hallowe'en was last weekend? And I was stunned to be asked, a few days ago, what date Hallowe'en falls on this year. Tch. Fools.
Anyone who has not yet rsvp'd on attending our Hallowe'en bash, get along to
inannajones' journal, and comment on the relevant post there (I'm posting by email, or I'd get you a proper URL). I'm taking the day off to carve pumpkins and entertain
miroza_cat.
