My god, they're like pompoms with faces! Footstools with ears! Gigantic living hairballs!
I love the feel of angora (I'm a knitter...of course, I can't afford angora to knit with). I've seen angora bunnies before, but only normally-sized, non-Tribble ones. I think it's very cool that they get the fluff by brushing the bunnies (at least, that's what I've read in the past).
Neat! Local champions, very impressive (I know the dog show world is crazy competitive, so I imagine rabbit competitions are similar).
I've seen sheep just post-shearing, and they're hilarious to watch. It's like the sudden loss of all those pounds of wool turns their legs into springs--they go boinging around with great abandon.
I got to pet (i.e., bury my fingers in the lovely thick wool of) several alpacas and a Jacob sheep ram last Sunday. Mmm, so lovely and soft and warm. I'm buying a nicer drop spindle tomorrow so I can spin up the alpaca fiber I bought.
I had a little competition with the guys around my cubicle to see what these.... creatures were: - 2 votes for Pekinese dogs - 1 for doctored photos of furbies - 1 for rabbits - 1 for "the new must-have toy of Xmas"
Those poor animals- I am sure they have movement and breathing problems!
But at least nothing would eat them - any carnivore would be choking to death on hairballs before it got to the meat. Assuming there is any meat under all that fur.
Oh my gods- those are so funny! I'd love to see one of them next to a Silkie chicken- I wonder which would win the Most-ridiculous-and-floofy competition?

They are very scary looking, aren't they?

You can get the wool by brushing them, but it's easier usually to shear them. Mine used to get all frisky after they got rid of their wool.
