Neat! Local champions, very impressive (I know the dog show world is crazy competitive, so I imagine rabbit competitions are similar).
I've seen sheep just post-shearing, and they're hilarious to watch. It's like the sudden loss of all those pounds of wool turns their legs into springs--they go boinging around with great abandon.
I got to pet (i.e., bury my fingers in the lovely thick wool of) several alpacas and a Jacob sheep ram last Sunday. Mmm, so lovely and soft and warm. I'm buying a nicer drop spindle tomorrow so I can spin up the alpaca fiber I bought.
