Herb listings

Sounds like an excellent idea - maybe that way I could remember to get stuff I am out of instead of ending up with 3 jars of cardomom pods and no nutmeg...

Then there are the mysterious plastic tubs proclaiming to be peppercorns but instead containing red powder or something green and herb-like. Serves me right for trying to re-use containers when I am out of labels.

Re: Herb listings

Investigation while making that list revealed that several Schwartz jars, claiming to hold Parsley, the Italian Seasoning Mix, and Cajun Mix, actually held cinnamon sticks. Which, of course, I couldn't find before... those jars are in a drawer, with the names on the lids - there is no spice rack capable of holding the whole collection, only about a third.

I was waiting for someone to ask that, and the proper answer is that I'm not sure. I picke dit up in Crete, and the label says that it's good as a tea for stomach upsets, blood pressure and a few other ailments. It's a slightly minty tasting stuff, if I'm remembering the right one. Must see if I can find any more details in any of my herbals.
