Kicked off by a post by [livejournal.com profile] one_woman_army, I've made a list of the herbs and spices in our kitchen.



Ground Coriander, Allspice, Basil, Bolognese Mix, Mint, Juniper Berries, Tarragon, Fennel Seed, Crushed Chillies, Black Pepper, Rosemary, Turmeric, Lemon Pepper, Cretan Saffron, Cumin, Whole Cloves, White Pepper, Cretan Basil (a vast jar of this), Chinese Five Spice, Ground Nutmeg, Mild Curry, Medium Curry, Hot Curry, Mixed Peppercorns, Pizza Herbs, Cretan Thyme, Eygptian Saffron, Cinnamon, Balti Chicken Mix, Mulled Wine Spices, Parsley, Montreal Steak Mix, Catnip, Cayenne Pepper, Bay Leaves, Paprika, Chives, Cajun Mix, Ground Ginger, Cardamom, Coriander Leaf, Italian Herb Seasoning, Mixed Herbs, Oriental Chicken Mix, Ground Fenugreek, Ground Mace, Lagoudokymethia, Birch Leaf, Lavender and Wormwood.

I was waiting for someone to ask that, and the proper answer is that I'm not sure. I picke dit up in Crete, and the label says that it's good as a tea for stomach upsets, blood pressure and a few other ailments. It's a slightly minty tasting stuff, if I'm remembering the right one. Must see if I can find any more details in any of my herbals.
