Gamer type people: How would you feel about playing in a one-shot game or mini-campaign in which you know in advance that everyone is going to get killed? I'm thinking of this specifically in the context of a prelude to a longer game centering on an investigation of the deaths of the first set of characters.

Wandering slightly off topic...
I enjoyed very much a MERP game in which my third character finished off my (unconscious, badly wounded) second character. The third character (Bors) was the NPC brother of my first PC, who was a fugitive being hunted down by my second PC. The beauty of it was that when I started playing Bors as a PC he had already become part of the story. The other players expected his to be a violent bastard and that's what I gave them.
Character death is good.

Heck, I'd be putting even less worry into it than into the first three characters prepped for "Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil!" (In which, by the stack, you see how many times I expect to die before we call it off. Someday I'll finish that module!
